Guitar, Piano, and Drums
My introduction to music started at age 9 with the drums. I took drum lessons and my mom took guitar lessons from the same teacher. At the age of 13, I started learning guitar from my older brother. These formative years taught me the value of regular practice, technique, and musicianship, while fostering a lifetime love for playing and creating music.
As an adult, I continued studying and playing music during college and beyond. I studied Popular and Classical Guitar Technique, Piano, Music Theory, and performed extensively in academic settings as well as performance venues around Los Angeles.
I am currently applying my passion for music as an active singer-songwriter, teacher, and performer. I recently co-wrote a song that will be placed in an upcoming feature film and continue to perform regularly. I have been teaching music for 8 years and look forward to inspiring a love for music in students for many years to come.

I'm Pedro, a conservatory-trained-from-childhood professional pianist and composer. Although I have focused on music for the past twenty eight years, I have a wide range of academic interests.
I've earned many degrees and certifications in music, including a BA in Music Composition and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, a Film Scoring Graduate Certificate from UCLA Extension, a Desktop Music Production Specialist Certificate from BerkleeMusic.com, a Masters in Music Composition at Universidad Simon Bolivar, an AS in Music Business from Musicians Institute in Hollywood and a Certificate in Audio Engineering from the same school.
In addition, I am fluently trilingual (Spanish, English, French) and speak intermediate Mandarin Chinese and basic Japanese.
I want to inspire students to enjoy exploring their journey with Piano, and Recording in Music Production.
